I"m starting to get back to this build. I've been busy the last 5 years making other stuff namely this cutie. Now that she is starting school I will have more time for the Locost.

As far as pedals go I have a lot of them. I have top mount forward swing, rear swing, and bottom mount but it looks like I will be using this set up by OBP. With this the GO pedal only needs a little modification then it will be good to go. I got it from RallyNuts in the UK. Shipping was really fast, less than a week.

I also spent the last two days puting together a blasting cabinet and then modifying to work a little better. I added two flood lights, a dust removal system, and sealed every seam with sealant. and mounted it on wheels. Now it is usable.

After sitting for about 5 years in storage everything has a nice "protective" coating of rust. I am trying to remove as much of the rust as possible, before painting the chassis. I started with the front control arms, soaking them in Evap-o-rust. Seems to work pretty good. I also ground down the sharp corners and removed a little excess material inboard of the lower shock mount.

I was working on the radiator mounts when it became apparent that the outlet was blocked by the steering rack mounts. So here is version 3 or something. I used the mounts off the Miata sub-frame, some triangles of 1/8 inch flat stock and some 1x2 tubing. The outlet hose should be able to pass underneath. I'm not sure if I should add some front to back support or not.
