 That's exactly what I was thinking when I was pressing the black trim around the plastic windshield Chris.

Anyhow, I know the rules, if there's no video it didn't happen so here's the Gator test drive.
I have it locked in low gear (2 1/2 mph) til he gets the hang of it then I can put it in hi (4 1/2 mph) for thrill rides (hair straight back).

LOL! Kristian, good pic! Let me date stamp myself, if it were me I picture myself in the same situation Fred Flintstone experienced when the sexy waitress hung a rack of dino ribs on the side of Fred's car (ahh those were the days).

Out to the shop for a bit today. Some pics of steering wheel/column installment in no particular order. Still more fabrication to complete.

That's quite a bit of progress, Perry.

That gray part, where the steering shaft penetrates the firewall, is that a part for the donor or an aftermarket piece? I kept the similar part from my donor, but as I remember, it's a fixed angle. It looks like your part will rotate in a ball-and-socket type setup and allow a range of angles for the shaft. If so, that would be good thing to know about.

Cheers,

Hey Lonnie, that's aftermarket, it's a self aligning flange bearing. You can get them in 4 bolt or 2 bolt pattern. You should be able to source them at Harbor Freight.

Nice, Perry. Is it one of those dual 110/220V systems?

Cheers,

I can only assume he is stripping it down and building a dually Locost.

Here's something that would be appropriate as a dually. It basically has two engines as well, the V16 Detroit's were just a pair of V8's joined together.

Here's a picture and a link to a website with more info. It might be a tight fit in a Locost, even with a 442 frame.
