Thanks guys! My wife and I are quite excited! :D
Got the donor car picked up by the original owner last Saturday, figured he wanted the body back and install S2000 powertrain into it, I wish him well, as there's not much left of the AE86. I've got myself a decent amount of room in the garage, cleaned it all up etc... Starting the frame this weekend, can't wait to get started! It'll be hard to keep up with Perry, haha!

Now, now, what's that country song that says something like "it takes me all night to do what I used to do all night". I think I'll be slowing down on my current build. I think.....what was I talking about? Oh yeah....I forgot.

Finally got a start on the frame, slow and steady. Ordered some more metal to start on the rear of the frame as well. A friend and I are currently taking MIG welding course at NAIT, just to make sure nobody falls out on the first road trip. :) Recieved my nose cone from Chris @ C.O.L.D
Here are some pics.

And a good looking nose cone it is.

A word of advice, if it's worth anything, you can adjust the width of the front frame to fit the nose cone instead of chopping the nose to fit the frame, remember you're the builder. Just saying....

"slow and steady" - that's what the wifey says

This looks like a good start to a great build. Take your time and you'll get there.

How are you contacting C.O.L.D. I assume that is Canadian Online Locost Distributors.

Their website has been offline for a while now. Canadianlocost, com

Do you have a wayt to get ahold of them?

Thanks,

Bob

Chris at C.O.L.D. is a busy guy, but I'm impressed with build quality of the nosecone, I'd recommend it. :)

Notice bottom shelf of table is high enough to clear hoist legs!

Sure makes things easier!

Dammit, I was hoping nobody saw that... :) after building the table, the jack doesn't quite clear (by 1/2"), I'm using a friends engine jack... Turns out quad jacks have multiple functions, lifting quads and build tables. Happy New years everyone, all the best in 2015.

Happy 2015 to you too, Mike! Lookin' like progress there, and that's a good thing. I am curious about somethin' though... What is "Dune Idaho"??? Y'all ain't got no ocean front, I checked... A reference to the planet Arrakis, and Duncan Idaho, perhaps?
