Wow! What a huge milestone. This will be a fun year, it must seem great to get the thing moving - much less abstract now.

That's AWESOME, Willie!!! How was the drive?

Is that a book frame? While looking very similar to my build, it looks much smaller. Do you have room for passenger seat?

Go get 'em,
-dave

That PPF he has in his tunnel takes up much of the passenger space.

Way to go Willie!!!!!!!!!!
That ought to help keep you motivated! I can't wait to see the vids of it on track or dodging cones this summer!

Looks good William!

I may have to actually start on mine since I inadvertantly grabbed a miata rear subframe and diff the other week. :)

Thanks, without your and Hempy's help and guidance I would not have made it this far. Chet your rear suspension design worked very well

it is simpler with the subframe but is takes up alot of space. I liked and used Chets design (but simpler for my fab skills)

That's good to hear. And you're quite welcome, I'm happy to have helped. I'm helping a local friend build right now and I'm building from the same "plans". AMoore's gonna draw them up in CAD soon. (If I ever get them to him)

You might try using either silicon adhesive or epoxy to attach some small plywood plates to the back. Then attach things to those. Do some sanding to clean the area first.

Plywood will resist changing size with humidity and you will be able to screw things into it. In an emergency, you will be able to "knock on wood"...

I like the look of wooden dashes people have made for their locosts though. You could make a wood dash to cover a large cutout as another option. It adds a touch of class without being hard work really.

started fabing the dash stuff (switch, gauges, wipers) this weekend. Mounted windsheild in the frame.
