Working with aluminum is simply superb! And how to make such wings? To bend flanging?

I am sure forming these it’s norhing more than a $250,000 machine :D. Aluminum is great, can be agrovating because it’s so soft and marks easily.

It is budget :P the wings were $485 shipped. I was referring to the machine that made them. :cheers:

Had a freezing rain day. Fender bracket time. I think i got it. Pics aren't great, kind of a weird spot. I ran out of metal for the stays that run across the tire so ill pick that up tomorrow. I used .035 stainless for the vertical pieces welded below to stainless .125 tube to carbon on the bracket. They sure seem tough. I wanted to bond them to the fender underneath but then there is no way to get them off without unbolting the upper A arm. I'll find some nice bolts. I did get the parking brake done too. so nice to have that out of the way.

Pulled the engine to flip the clutch disc. You remember that debacle last fall. Well this is a very hard pill to swallow but will be forever burned in the memory that friction discs are directional damn it. Once you see it it’s like man how could you be so dumb. Should be brighter days ahead.

I rang that exact bell a number of years (35 or so) ago myself! Here I had forgotten all about it, and someone here has to dredge up that old, forgotten disaster ('79 GMC, cast iron trans and transfer case, what fun..)

I am going to say it was. But, I haven’t started it yet to find out. My seats are still at the upholsterer. I put it back together yesterday. I also had to buy new remote reservoirs. My nifty eBay cheapos where leaking out the sightglass. So I have to pipe in a new one. I’ll get at that today.
