Well I picked all my Seven bits this afternoon. Hauled them home in the wife's minivan. Got a few odd looks on the highway.

I made your current post sticky and I will delete every stellar build log I can find.

I am amazed to see a a car fit in another car.

A few questions, where did you get the kit, what kit is it, and what motor are you using?

I got mine for Haler Concepts who sell the Luego stuff in Canada (located in central Alberta but I'm sure they can ship). I bought the demo pile-o-parts so didn't get to choose the colour and have to remove that sticker from the hood. Their stuff is not cheap but very high quality - I'm impressed so far. I'm ( still!! ) not sure on the motor yet but I think I'm going with a 1.6L Miata and tranny. I used Hyundai Stellar (Ford Cortina MkIII basically) spindles and a Hyundai Pony rear axle (same as MkII Escort) so my suspension parts have fit together rather nicely so far (need to do just a little grinding on the spindle to fit to the rack).

Just need a rear end and you will have a rolling chassis. Very cool.

He forgot to give me the rear axle brackets unfortunately so as soon as I get them it will be a roller (oh and I need to buy tires for my rims).

All in all I'm taking a pretty good shortcut here. Should be up and driving by summer.

Made sure the rear end will fit. Everything looks good. Just need to modify the rear brackets and weld them onto the axle. My rims should look nice once I get some rubber on them. There is 1 and 3/4" between the rim and the rear links - I think that should be enough. With stock (ugly, ugly) or fwd offset rims I'm sure I would have needed spacers.

I finally bought not one but two engines. First is a Toyota 4AGE with a 5sd and all the accessories. I picked this one up on the weekend. Its supposed to have run when pulled. The second is a Toyota 4AGE recently rebuilt with twin weber carbs - this one will use the tranny and any needed bits from the first engine to make a complete motor. And if I decide to go FI later I have all the bits. Pictures to come later.

Took about 7 hours there and back (I've now put well over 2.5k kms on $400 Mazda B2000 - no problems except the tailgate but I now use a screwdriver to open).

oh its like Christmas all ready to unwrap!

These are economy drag seats. Narrow enough to fit the Seven. Surpisingly comfortable. I was suprised to find they were made in Canada (oddly I had to order from US to get a decent price).

Unless a chinook wind comes through... Alberta weather can be pretty strange... wake up in the morning and it's -10c, go outside in the afternoon and it's +15c. Well even at +15 you might want to bundle up LOL!
The build looks great Dave, can I ask what the demo kit ran you?
