Had the chance to pick up my roll bar from the folks at Midnight 4x4 who made this for me from 1.5" (super thick walled) dom tubing.

Originally I was going to make it so that it was removable, but then I thought....when am I going to remove it, realistically?! Also the 4" square areas where the bar mounts are not ideal for where the bolts mount through. (If that makes any sense!)

The downside to 'hard' mounting the bar is that I have to remove the rear skin and drill out the rivets, but that's fine.

Then the wind picked up so I couldn't continue to weld, so I chopped up the old tub off the Jeep. There really is not too much to it!

Pan fried Swai fish, with salad and eggs.

Mornin...
I think it's a good thing that you welded in the roll bar. It will only be able to save your noggin when it's attached to the car, and nobody knows when it will be needed. Besides that, it looks cool, gives you a handle to get in the car with and -to my eye- the car doesn't look "right" without one. So there...

Son-in-law Josh made spaghetti last night, his own meat sauce recipe and whole-wheat pasta. Good stuff!
