I never thought of the compression forces. Would it be beneficial to make all horizontal bars out of the 1.5"? That would be just as easy to do. |

Probably not needed unless that Volvo motor is a real "Boat Anchor". The usual Locost frame is overbuilt compared to the frames that lotus had built for their cars. |

I know its been forever!!! Finally got started on my frame. Decided on a 442e and got a good portion of it welded up last weekend. I will add some pick as soon as i get them on my laptop. Right now im on the hunt for drivetrain parts. The plan is to still use the Volvo T5 engine mated to a WC t5 trans. Will be using 4wd s10 rear and 2wd s10 front parts with home built a-arms. |
