Hey everybody! I have some updates.
This week was crucial to finish chassis mods. So guys can start production of my chassis.
But first, suspension part:
After a decision to go with De-Dion suspension I start looking for components to fit my Subaru R160 Diff. The first thought was to use the complete axle from 98- Forester and just redrill hubs to fit 4x100 wheels. I purchase new axle
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.ph ... 7310&jsn=1 I run into few issues:
Hub bearings assembly from forester has a casting that doesn't allow redrilling hubs.
I found hubs units from 00-04 outback with solid hub surface with the removable hub that makes them ideal for turning and machining.
150miles and 50$ later I found that outback bearings not only have different bearing diameter but different from other Subies splines count...
Using Axles form outback was a bad option because of an increased rear track.
On top of all these Suby axles looked really flimsy to me in terms of CVs diameter.
My research starts over again.
Some Datsun car using R160 diffs with stub axles and own axles. So a plan is to source or to make stub axles to fit Diff and use some bolt-on axles.
Rockauto, GKN and Lobro online catalogs were browsed from A-Z during few days. My search was finished were most people start... Miata!

Ok. this makes other parts fit more straightforward. Miata Axles + Miata Hubs + Miata rotor.
Only remaining part that was undefined is bearing module.
Back to Timken PDF catalog, I used for searching front bearings. 1 hour later solution was found:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.ph ... 3022&jsn=2Evolution hub bearing.
This setup is giving reasonable track width and easily available parts.
The rest was much easier. Some reverse engineering, some modeling and we have approximate rear suspension setup.

The chassis part was more straightforward.
As I don't have an exact model of the engine yet. All I need is add mounting points for Diff mounting,
Clear some space in the engine bay for intake and turbo manifolds and add some front engine mount point.
Long story short: here is pictures:

Next week guys in DK racing should start manufacturing of my frame and rear axle. Finger crossed I didn't make some big errors on my part.
Thanks, guys! Have Fun!
