Yesterday was spent making wing stays for the front fenders.
Making one of anything has gotten fairly easy, a matched pair still keeps me on my toes.
I "could" have drawn thes up, made drawings, and built a jig. Instead I slowly built what was pleasing to my eye.
As I got 1 piece done, I made a duplicate. So Drivers top tube, passengers top tube; drivers bottom tube, passengers bottom tube; ...
When it came time to tack weld the bits I started with the drivers top tube and support bar for the fender. Just a couple of tig tacks to start.

At this point its hanging in space with a single bolt. A tad far from the tire, so some tweaking is in order.
Back at it and joined the bottom tube to the support bar.

All tacked up. I plan to hammer / wrap the bar to the tube and weld it all up.

I took them off the car to the weld table and assembled the passengers side to match.
Test fit looks pretty good.

Today I get to weld fully and add some stiffening.
I almost forgot. The fenders are ebay fiberglass bits I picked up CHEEEEEEP. $40 to my door for the pair.
