Totally unrelated to your build but there is recall going on right now in certain states for that very issue.

Might be worth giving the dealer a call.

MY MY MY, quite the time away from my locost. :( But as my of my other posts state, "life has a habit of getting in the way". And it has. Since my last post we have welcomed our Daughter into our lifes (shes 19months old now  ). Besides dealing with that and all the general lack of sleep. I bought a wrecked Miata! And not its not a donor.

Here is the full build log of the miata
http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=454558

here are just some highlights of the rebuild.
Here is what i bought?! :ack:

Hi from Albany! I hope to have a build starting in a few months. We also have a little one - a 2.5 y/o girl so I know the time struggles. I'll be using either the Nissan VQ30 or 35 for my build, but in a mid-engine.

For Sale :( $4,500

I just don't have time to build the car (young family and all). it is VERY close to a runner.

EVERYTHING goes with the car at this point before i part it out. Here is a screen dump of my spreadsheet on most of my costs to this point.

VG30ET (turbo v6 1989) It ran when it was removed. I drove the "wrecked car" before the motor was pulled. It has a fresh timing belt and water pump and other stuff.

New clutch comes with

300ZX TT trans (VERY strong)

GM Camaro SS rear end (2000'ish) 3.42 gears with LSD

Corbeau A4 seats

Ask away ill answer any questions that i can :)
