You are SO whacked !!!!!! I'm pretty sure the engineering department didn't have that use of the shifter in mind during the design process :-(

Dude, you are one crazy SOB. Although I have to admit I laughed out loud when you hopped in. Let's hope you never see the same angle of attack on the street.

Keep it shiny side up!

I think being able to put these cars up on sawhorses is one of the coolest things. Much more civilized then having to crawl under a regular car.

I used to have a nice leather shifter but it disappeared one day and then got replaced with a good size bolt with a few washers. Looks very mean now...

 (these eyes do not get big enough)

As that really by the shifter? That thing is just held into the transmission but 3 10mm bolts and a rubber boot. Heck you can lift the shifter out of the turret on my buddies autox miata (both the boots to transmission and to the body are busted). You are a braver man that I am.

For some reason I get the impression I've seen this movie before. Oh yea, it was called "Flubber" the last time I saw it with Fred McMurry.
He had a Model T that flew around that looked like your car waving in the air.

Dave, I missed the vroom-vroom sounds when you sat in the car. And you need to add some Theremin music when the car is waving around.

Hempy, that video made my week!

I loved it....as long as I don't have to look at pictures of your headlights I am happy.

Congrats, now you can legally terrorize the neighborhood! :zoom:

Man, they sure make a fuss over no VIN. In Fla they are mostly concerned that your paperwork is in order. After they are satisfied with the paperwork they sell you a temp tag so you can drive your car to the DMV inspection if you don't want to trailer it to them. That was a thrill, here I was driving in traffic for the first time with a car that had ~15 miles on it. I wasn't sure if something would fly off of it or not. One you get there they inspect the car and if you pass they stick a state VIN decal on your firewall and send you on your way.

DANG! That was fast!!! Got it in the mail on the 23rd -- two days after the I filed the paperwork in Frankfort.

Now I have to wait ALL THE WAY until Monday :furious: to go down to my local county clerk and pick up the plate in person. I might bring a cordless drill and some pop rivets and get the second inspection right then and there! Not sure if I need insurance for that...

Not sure what to make of this whole "Dune Buggy" thing, but I can't say that I really give a rat's assets at this moment.
