This was my answer to the rear end problem , it weighs 1/3rd the stock subframe and is much easier to work with overall . Everything is chrome moly , so i don't worry about strength and it's easy to work with . I mounted the rear shocks to the underside of the roll-bar mounting plate , which spreads the pressure evenly throughout the rear of the car . I had to do away with the sway bar due to the fact it was so stiff it made the car miserable to ride in . It works very well on the track though !!!
The rear end parts are not finished yet , I still have to round the corners and clean up the overall appearance , then powdercoat the whole thing , control arms ,etc.
I went back to drum brakes mostly because it was easier to balance the proportioning valve , and made it brake more evenly , ( rear end doesn't swing around as fast), Drum brakes can be adjusted , and calipers can't .
