An update of where the car is now. Waiting on a back order of ACL bearing on the 2002 engine before the engine can be completed by machine shop. New valves, guides, forged rods and pistons. Lots of small stuff, some of the floor rivets had popped around the drivers seat so will re rivet with adhesive and have a more solid mount for seat directly to frame. Rear fenders are too narrow and will be splitting and filling in 2 inches in the middle. Redoing firewall, deleting all Miata fuses, solenoids and going to painless circuits.
Also going to use SKunk intake designed for Honda B series as it flows much better than Miata according to local Miata racers. 6 puck, ACT pp etc. Still going to be a street/track car. The torsion rear end is going to be a pain to get in as it is longer than the early miata, don't know it will clear the frame. just put the front end in of diff. and mocked up the 6 speed trany to establish a drive shaft length. I've decided to keep the stock torsion gear ratio which is very low gearing but 136.4 mph is probably all i want to do on the track.

File comment: Show have bought a decent belt sander ages ago. This grinds metal like it was pine. Easy to round up and finish corners

I really like the rocker switches but the little stones from the road kept landing behind them making them unworkable so went with HF toggles this time.

Well, you got out kinda light, 15K, to mod a Seven, the car to mod, a hayabusa, custom trans, tires and wheels. we were lucky, with threat of suite, we got a loaner just before he went under, we still have it! Fun to drive but it was a crap build!

Haven't posted in a long time.

Car now has 6 speed, torsion rear end, new painless wiring, AEM EMS-4 brain, speedhut guages, turbo built 2001 miata engine. Also LS individual truck coils, honda intake manifold matched to miata. Redid the nose added Subaru roof scoop to feed intercooler, also have 235x45x17 street tires with new front fenders. Bought an English wheel to build new fenders, and hood.

Also built a sound block using alum. sheet as exhaust is under my left ear, also works as a great arm rest.

Only one autocross since and haven't been back to the track yet but will in late July.

311 hp from dyno tuning and is quite amusing to drive on the street, great summer ahead.
Ingmar

Changed the rear ratio as it was crazy low, did it myself as a quote was $ 300 in labor, also went to higher windshield. I need wind wings !!!!
