Try taking off the "s" in "https".

It's interesting the videos that get shown next on youtube after yours. The next one was a car full of cute girls heading off on a world tour, maybe looking for you! I think they were in Czechoslovakia... If they drive straight north they may find you.

Yo, Trochu! Nice startup! Sounded pretty good, a little lopey, but not bad for a first (almost) start. Not bad at all. Congrats!

What's this I hear about a car-load of women headed your way? Don't be showing stuff like that to Marcus, at his age, he could stroke out on us just from thinking about it. That would be bad, we need those ECUs he's building!!!

Right on, sounds good. Good to see you got the rad hoses sorted out too. Don't feel bad about not being able to embed videos, you're not the only one. I don't know what those other two are talking about, I didn't get to see a carload of women after.

Right mouse click on toolbar heading with page address and it will highlight blue and drop box will appear, left mouse click on copy, put the cursor on post and right mouse click where you want the link to appear on the page, drop box will appear again and left mouse click on paste option, job done.

It lives

Elegant solution for the heater bypass, but there is already a bypass between the water neck and the pump (the little hose), so you could have capped the lines or slipped on a standard heater hose, which would have collapsed from the bend.

Marcus, thanks for the tip, I tried that to no avail however, tried no "s", no "https" and just going with www, nothing seems to work. Even went to your post you made in JD build log and tried to copy that format, oh well.

Thanks JD. Yea, sometimes I think it sounds good and others it sounds a bit rough. Could be something as simple as bad gas, plugs, etc., it hasn't ran in over four years so chances are its something relatively simple, heres to hoping anyway. I'm also conveniently overlooking the fact that one of the O2 sensors is just flopping around in the header as I damaged the collar when I removed it......

turbo-bird, I put a new "first start" video up, now that I figured out how to rotating my camera 90 degrees. :BH: I'm still lumped in with a bunch of non-car related crap, no cute girls though.

bob, I was trying to embed it, maybe thats the wrong term, so the video would pop right up on the screen and you wouldn't have to leave the site to watch it. No luck however.

Miata, I read up on this quite a bit, and while you are likely correct, I read enough comments regarding plugging the hard lines and issues with the coolant temperature sensor, I decided a 180 was the way to go.

It really runs! Sounds great.

Sorry can't help you with the embedding. I always try a bunch of things until it sticks.

There it is- the watch?v= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqVbWPNEKnk

Funny, now that I look at it closer, the pop-up message, when I hover the mouse over the "youtube" button in our screen says it all. It just doesn't add it all to our message body when clicking. And no way I found to copy the pop-up. Strange things happen in cyber space.

My water pump was leaking so I decided to purchase a new one. Ordered a pump to fit a 5.0 from a 1987 to 1993 Fox, waited what felt like way to long, only to have my hopes dashed when I went to install it as it doesn't fit. I still don't know what exactly the difference is between a 5.0 HO out of a 1992 Fox vs a 5.0 HO out of a 1992 Cougar, but I guess I learned something along the way.

Made the cardboard template and then cut the scuttle out. Probably a bit more heavy duty than required (16 ga steel), but I'm going to leave it for now. Looks okay, still have to fine fit it and screw it down.

FoMoCo has a bad habit of changing stuff between model years, and sometimes within a model year and not telling anybody. Is there any way you can walk into a brick-and-mortar parts store with the old pump and get them to match up a new one for you? If you've got an odd-ball water pump that only fits Cougars that were painted gray and build on a Thursday, that might be your only hope.

I had an '86 Bronco with a fuel injected 302. Parts stores always said that FI didn't start on Broncos until '87. It took multiple tries to get a new alternator, sorta like your water pump.

Good luck...
