I inspire you to scratch your nether regions? :ack: Over coffee with a splash of Cap'n Morgan perhaps...

Perry, we have got to meet one day, spend a few hours trading stories/lies and see if we can figure out how we're actually related. I suspect there's a common ancestor back there somewhere... Perhaps Adam or Australopithecus or somebody further back, but I just know we're some kind of cousins. (Unfortunately for both of us, you got all the mechanical and fabrication skills and I got all the good looks.)

Some year we will travel to "The Center of the Known Universe", the only thing stopping wifey and I is fear

In other news... Actually car related, this time...

The block, crank and heads went to the machine shop yesterday for checking out, thorough hot-tank cleaning, making sure mating surfaces are flat, etc. Small step for mankind, giant leap for Team Slotus...

Used to be... It's kinda morphed into a build log/family album/sausage recipe/joke book that I've written along with numerous collaborators.

I'm not sure how it all happened, honestly. It "Grow'd like Topsy" (Harriet Beecher Stowe)

But just look at all the fun ( :?: ) we've had!

C'mon back any time Chuck. We'll be up to something, maybe even car building!

I'm back. I follow all your updates. I always learn something. Sometimes, even about cars.

Hey Chuck- Remember in Young Frankenstein whenever they said "Frau Blucher" the horses would rare up and whinny in fright? Then at the end of the scene, Igor* stuck his head out of the door and said "Blucher!" just to listen to them?

Sorta like that... I could post "Blucher!" and then you'd have to look.
(Evil laughter fades into the background...)

*That's pronounced "EYE-gor".

I went out to the shop after dinner last night, and had intentions of working on the Slotus. That's when I saw the (mostly dead) lawnmower sitting in front

Yeah, you guessed it. Adulthood snared me. I removed the carb, drained the water out of the bowls, put it back on and re-started it. Vroom... That's when I decided to rebuild the throttle linkage that didn't work quite right. Mistake... Three hours later, it was back together and running. No Slotus work was accomplished... :BH:
