Nice progress in only 6 months man! Very sweet!

Big fan of the Green Latern you have there. The guy bringing my build across the finish line for me builds FFR Cobra's on the side. Very fun cars.

Any details on your build?

Specs?

Well, it' a book build. I am using the miata rear sub frame and torsen rear stuff to make it easy. Engine is a miata 1.8 with a little zest...T3/T4 turbo. It will be managed by a Haltec ECU supplied by VeryCoolParts.com. THe front end is kinetic. Tires will most likely be 205/50/15's all the way around. Not sure what else to add....It will be street legal and will most likely get sold after completion....it's about the building for me...I will get bored and I don't need 4 cars :D Should have it down on th ground in the next couple of weeks and then start working on getting her fired up.

Bare build table to a running car in about 12 months? Very nice work.

Do you have any more pictures?

You can find his build on the FFCARS web site
http://www.ffcars.com/forums/showthread ... 470&page=7

His build thread is 8 pages long and has over 14 thousand hits

Erik and I both have built cobras and we both were looking for a project. I had stumbled across the locost 7. I use to race a SCCA bugeye sprite so I was already familiar with the Seven. I was spending time on this forum and buying books and doing research. I accidently, maybe, bought two of Keith tanners books, so when Erik came to visit one weekend I sent him home with the extra copy. Now 11 months later and his car is the fast track and mine is still on the build table(I just started two months ago). Will see if I can catch up with him, now that I have recently become self employed.

Hi Eric, I'm looking forward to seeing your front fender mounts. I know that sounds trivial, but everything else looks so great I want to see how you deal with the front fenders. Fender mounts are a great nuisance to many builders (me, for example).

I like the way you blended the rear fenders to the rear of the car.
