Not the same without my helper, but on with the build.

Needed to cut and install a headlight housing before do in the bulkhead glassing.

Made a 8" plug with a 1/8" hole on its center. (nothing is symmetrical on this hood ) :BH:
Then center it up in the headlet opening.
Drill a 1/8" hole for a pilot for a hole saw. (only have a 4" needed a 6 3/8" ) :ack:
So I will need to sand it to size. Going to try a 2" drum but may need to go to my die gringer with carbide ?
We will see ? :BH:

Going to try air horns on the turn hose.
Don't know if it will help or not ?
Also will shorten the hose length ?

Ideas ?

I think it would work. You might lose a bit of max power at high engine speeds due to the direction change. But I don't think you are planning on racing it at max spped.

I keep wondering if you could make new mounts for the carb that angle down and set the carbs at a "level" angle. Would that clead the bonnet and you could then have the intake horns straight in?

The motor is set up at the bike angle. Don't think the float bools would take a change ?

Worked on the front mount for the hood.
Also took a photo of the templates for the bulkheads.

For what ever level of shortness you wish you could attach the T/Bs to a plenum and use a rectangular flat filter.
Wouldn't have to be any taller than what is there, and would almost eliminate any restriction from the bend.

Thanks ,Bent R

But their carbs. Wish it was EFI.
Wish I could bump up the hood but it is too high now. Will stay with the bent tubs.
I will look into the filter system after its running. Just like the the runner tube and Vstack.

Is the front mount what the fiberglass front end will rotate on?

Cheers,
