I was planning to run the OEM ECU to start, but I will likely go to a FreeEMS ECU afterward. It is much cheaper and the software is open source. Which means I can mess with it and do some very interesting things with it. That said, I'm not sure if I would put the ABS code on the ECU processor.

horizenjob, thanks for the warning about the seriousness of the ABS system. I really don't care about having ABS to tell you the truth. I would like to try the inside rear braking on turn initiation and TC (braking rear wheel that is spinning), but I would be very cautious....and these are just "nice to have/try" type things anyway. I'm not really interested in power brakes either, but I'm not sure if the ABS system can work without them. The schematics I've looked at aren't clear to me.

In case it is not clear, the way that I understand the ABS in the Maxima working is that there is a pump that is turned on to keep pressure, and then for each brake caliper there are two valves. The valves can be opened and closed to pressurize or depressurize the brake line to the caliper. In this way, you can control which of the four wheels are braking. There is also the power brakes diaphragm hooked in, but not sure if that is augmented by the ABS hydraulic pump or what. I am, at the very least, interested in seeing how it all works. Whether or not it will end up in the car at some point, I don't know.

I've done a lot of CFD aero work and this is my latest model. 750 lbs of downforce at 65 mph and L/D a bit over 5:1. Drag the same as a Prius I modeled. It is an estimate so who knows what actual will be.

I also made an interconnected suspension prototype. Disregard the springs as those were there to see what they would do....they just allow roll. It uses solid axles for simplicity of build so it doesn't work well dynamically. Statically it works well. I will next change it to fully independent suspension all around and add a third spring, but leave out springs 1 & 2....if that makes any sense.

Funny, the day I read this I saw a billboard that was for a place called Fancy Schmancy Boutique. Ha!

However fast my 3 y/o can push me. How many horsepower is that? She's really quite strong....and I bet that thing only weighs 50 lbs!
