That 3/4 rear view reminds me of this Tee with your forward sloped rear back panel.

Perry, was that Big Daddy Ed Roth or a George Barris creation? I can't remember.

A bit of an update. Since my last post, I have painted the frame and sprayed primer on the quarter panels. Today's task was cutting a hole in the hood side and welding a piece of mesh behind it for venting:

Looks good! Any chance you could edit your old posts to re-add a few pics?
What size and gauge mesh? Stainless?

Oh yes please do! I know it's a drag but we need those pics so we can properly ooh and ahh. Right now, everything previous to Friday looks like I forgot my reading glasses.

Thanks for the compliments! The mesh sheet I used is plain carbon steel (not stainless), about 1/16" thick. The diamond shaped openings are 7/8" X 1/4".

I just spent several hours reloading the photos to my old posts, due to the Photobucket Fiasco and the lost photos from the forum crash. They show up fine for me now, but if they are still blurry for you with the Photobucket watermark, you may need to clear your cache to prevent your web browser from reloading the old pages before I fixed them.

Thanks bulldogge!

Some more progress to report. Since I am trying to build this car as economically as possible, it would be way too expensive to pay a body shop to paint the car. At some point, I may consider buying an HVLP gun and proper compressor to paint it myself, but for now, I just wanted to get some color on the car as cheap and easy as possible. I picked up some primer and spray paint at Home Depot and started painting the back of the car. Although not perfect, this car was never meant to be a show winner, and the results are good enough for now.

Your build kinda reminds me of Steve Scott's Uncertain T build.

Thanks! At some point I'll try and polish it to see if I can smooth it out a bit.

Yes, you mentioned that at the top of this page last year. I can see how the back of it looks very similar.

This is coming together nicely :)

If ever the whim strikes to change up the look, this body is a good candidate for a DIY vinyl wrap.. The lower end stuff is budget friendly, and with all of these flat panels I'll bet it would turn out sweet.. Just throwing it out there because the rattle can jobs don't hold up forever..

Please keep the pics/updates coming.. very exciting to see a project get to this stage
