I've made some good progress in the last couple months, so time for an update. First off, I made a bracket to mount the Speedway Motors radiator overflow tank to the radiator, and then made brackets to secure the radiator:

No room behind the dash (plus, I wanted to keep the dash uncluttered) so the front speakers are mounted on top of the transmission tunnel:

Got the firewall cut out with the holes for the brake booster, clutch master, steering shaft, throttle cable and wiring harness pass through.

Made a bracket that bolts to the valve cover to secure the routing of the unmodified Miata throttle cable:

Oh dang. Most of the photos previous to a year ago have disappeared. Perhaps they were linked to some outside source rather than properly planted* in the forum?

*No, I don't speak geek very well. How did you know?

That's likely a result of the Photobucket fiasco, before I started attaching my photos directly. I'll need to go back and attach the earlier photos directly at some point.

A few more updates to share. I started running the brake and clutch lines and got the floor pans and transmission tunnel cover done. I also got the front seat belts installed. I then covered the dash panel in black vinyl and added an aluminum bezel around the gauges. You can see by the reflection that I installed a piece of plexiglass behind the dash panel to protect the gauges.

Sorry for the long overdue update! Since going back to work after taking some time off, progress has slowed, but I'm still picking away at it and definitely getting closer to the finish line. The most recent projects included buying and installing the front springs, installing the front and rear seat belts, finished plumbing the brake and clutch lines, and finished plumbing the fuel lines. I also made the front side panels, but I still need to finish the mounting brackets for them. Here are some pictures:
