More Detail shots of the front suspension, please. It's quarter-eliptics pointed fwd, correct? friction dampers?

Front suspension consists of an early Ford I-beam axle and spindles. Location is by a 4-link. Sprung by 1/4elliptical leaf springs with MG Midget hydraulic shocks.

My buddy Chris flew in from the UK today. I put straight to work with a sharpie. He knocked this out in 15 minutes!

Stewart
I've been watching this build from the back seat since page one. I thank you for all the pictures, you have put your heart and soul into your fabrication.
Not only is it 'Effin Special', it's a project that's 'Effin Amazing'.

I look forward to watching your next build.

I'm going to guess 132mph, and it was "I need new pants" scary.

Quick post before I'm off to bed. This picture shows me with sunburnt cheeks and a stupid grin that will take weeks to slap off my face. I set records in gas class and then I moved up to fuel class and set that record too :). My top speed was 102.22 mph with a 1.3 DOHC in a car with the aero of a barn! I am a very happy man

Excellent, congratulations are definitely in order. My guess was going to be 108, but 102 isn't too shabby at all. How did it drive? How much track did you have to run on? Looks like you had fun anyways.
