Hey Chuck

Where we're staying in Desert Hot Springs must be the place to go for old Cushmans. There must be a dozen of them here, some look like donor pieces, others are running around the RV park every day. There's even a 4 wheel flat deck here that they use for daily garbage pickup. The electrician uses a 3 wheel open air truckster. My kind of guy, he's vintage like me, and has it loaded to the nuts with various electrical bits and pieces, wiring, fasteners, haywire, some tools, etc. If you were to put something extra on the deck of it something else would have to fall off

A lot can be said about vintage vehicles and vintage guys. Some of it can even be repeated in mixed company. These things are workhorses, for sure. And many have paid their way many times over.

Well, I called on Monday and they said it should be done on Tuesday. Tuesday 1st thing, I called and the shop foreman was out. He would call with the status. At 4:30 he called to say he didn't get to it. It would be done first thing in the morning after a delivery. At 10:45AM on Wednesday, he called. It was ready. We picked it up along with a few other shopping stops.

I got to installing it later that night. My wife gave me a hand in the install. It fit perfectly! I'm a very happy camper. We got 'er done too late for any pics. And then there was Turkey day. Today I took a few shots of the finished product. The windshield is so clean, you can't even see that it is there.

Soooo....... Any body want to buy a totally refurbished Cushman? I've got a special price for LocostUSA members.

Yupper looks really good.
The Cushman sure looked like a fun and unusual project.
Did you take it for a spin around the block?

Dave, I never saw your post until today. Thanks. Soooooo…….. WRT your question, that would be illegal since it isn't registered or insured. So I can't say "I did" on a public forum without self-incriminating myself. However I can state that if I did happen to take it for a spin, it would have been a hoot, and the wind in my face would have been drastically reduced allegedly. It presumably can get close to 40 MPH on the flat straightaway, or so I'm told.

So then Chuck can I assume that if there were allegedly a spin around the block that operator would have been sporting a big grin on their face?

It is just too bad that there wasn't a camera pointed at that driver, if in fact it did take place. And honestly, who would want to see my smiling mug?

I am sure that if such a hypothetical event had taken place and if the alledged driver of the vehicle enjoyed himself, then I would theoretically be happy for him!

Another project has come and gone. The Truckster is sold and was picked up early this morning. The new owner drove over 600 miles to pick it up.

That fun chapter in my life is officially closed. With more space in the garage, it is now time to get moving in earnest on to the MGB-GT project.

Awww... The little Minion-Mobile is gone??? I hope it went to a good home...

But these things happen. Now, about that B-GT... Are you SURE a twin turbo 5-liter Ford wouldn't fit in with your design???
