Great progress, I like frame design which looks solid, did you come up with it or do you have some type of plans to work from?

You are killing Kurt here. Frame is based on Midlana, which Kurt wrote up brilliantly. The chassis is great and the book is fantastic.

LOL, the comment did make me wonder whether I need to crank up the hard-sell - just kidding.

Feel free to chime in wherever you want! I plug your book everywhere I can. I've gone through several manuals, and yours is by far the best I've come across for something like this.

Seat mounts are tacked in. The seats I have are nice and comfortable, but have a slide underneath them that added less than 1" to the height of the seat. While there isn't going to be a LOT of room for adjustability, the price was right for the seats (as in, dirt cheap), and I liked them, and they otherwise fit. Since they're on slides, all of the mounts for the seat are on the floor. Depending on how confident I feel about these 5/16" [8mm] thick brackets, I may add some reinforcement to them when the frame is turned over. Holes will be drilled after welding to ensure the seats still line up properly after any distortion settles in.

That's it, then. I've tacked in everything I wanted to before starting the marathon welding campaign to make everything a solid piece. So far, I'm happy with how it looks. Suspension brackets, steering, pedals, and panel brackets will all be added afterwards to avoid unexpected distortion issues. I'm hoping that the car uses itself as a pretty solid assembly jig, and doesn't distort very much throughout the welding process. I'm going to try to be strategic as far as what is welded first, and in what order. We'll see how it comes out.
