Nice work. It looks really big. Whats the wheelbase and height?

Same as a 98 Forester. 100" Wheelbase, 58" track front, 57" rear (58" rear if i switch to STi lateral links) overall height 53" right now. But i plan to adjust coilovers up a bit and then overall height will be around 55". Tires are 18x9 with a 35 offset. Guess that makes overall width 73"

ya, i need some brake liens and fuel lines. I been debating how to run them. I was thinking inside some conduit inside the driveshaft tunnel but my 3" exhaust is in there too. I cant run them inside the passenger area since its not allowed per DOT, and under the car is a big no no due to ground clearence. So in the tunnel they go, just dont know if i should heat wrap the exhaust or just let it be.

I'd like a reference to that if you have an URL handy... that's something new.
Several sanctioning bodies have rules about brake or fuel lines running through the cockpit, but my (rather elderly, now) CFR 49 doesn't say anything about where brake lines can be run; it's mostly concerned with flexible lines.

Meanwhile, you might consider welding a piece of conduit through the cockpit, protruding through the front and rear firewalls, and run the fuel and brake lines through the conduit. Once you weld it in, the inside of the conduit is topologically "outside" the cockpit, even if the conduit itself isn't. It's a good idea to put some sections of rubber hose or grommets over the lines so they can't chafe inside the conduit.

i do have an exta inch i scavenged along right side of gas pedal that i can easily mount a nice straight peice on conduit inside. It would be a squeeze between seat brakcet and tunnel but should fit.

updated sketch. I came up with a bed idea for framing on way home yesterday

With 95% of the chassis done, I started to weigh it to get an idea of spring rates. I'm coming up with a total of 2100 pounds once windshield things are on. I'm also right around a 58%F/42%R weight distribution which i'm pretty happy with.

Started inserting some of the perf accent peices. Mainly cause i found it laying around the shop, Also changed the front framing to look better

Nested my aluminum for the hood, bed side and dash. Waiting on plasma time

And since its almost done, I putting together a new rendering of what it should look like finished. Except the seats, I have corbeau seats, those were off grabcad. It doesnt show fenders, I plan to cut them from 1/8" HDPE from speedway motors.

another garage cleaning day photo. hopefully soon i get my sheet metal off the plasma table. I been working on my harnesses. Going to try and mount both relay/fuse boxes under the dash and just extend the headlight, fan and alternator wires out under the hood.

Why is that Terry? Can I help? (Not sure how, but I'll have a go...) I'm enjoying this build, it's so different!
