Terry, I agree with Perry that you have some panels somewhere that have unsupported edges. They may not be 'loose' per se but they have free edges rubbing against tubes.

You also said that the frame was noisier once it was on trestles. When it was on the build table the table provided some damping, whereas you are now closer to free vibration, with only limited damping from structure alone. Loading the structure with 'stuff' like the drivetrain, seats, and other needed equipment will increase overall mass and help suppress vibration. But it sounds like reducing those free edges should be an early step,

DynaMat would help, but so would an application of truck bed liner or heavy undercoat ('rocker guard' would work as well).

The panels are stitched on about a 1-4 pattern. I have 3 tubes of automotive seam sealer I was going to use to caulk all the edges and maybe smooth some rougher welders prior to painting.

Seems to be concluded it's likely the flat panels causing the noise. The perf sections may be a likely culprit, I put a lot more weld in them today but ran out of 309 rods. For the steel panels, I'm thinking of getting some 1/8 tig rod, lying them on panels and then burning them right into the steel.

I've used fluxcore on the joints, tig on smaller stuff and stick welding some 309 to secure ss perf to a free infill areas. Weldings almost complete, just the plastic panel tabs left to weld on

Speaking of low-cost .... someone else on this site (apologies again for poor memory: Kurt maybe, or Horizonjob?) pointed out that you could get pretty good damping (sound reduction) from self-adhesive roof underlay or self adhesive roof 'ice and water shield'. See your local Home Depot or whatever. Much, much cheaper than Dynamat, undoubtedly not as good, but maybe good enough.

Found some Noico stuff on amazon, theyre a UK based acoustics place. What im finding is they are all pretty much just a butyl rubber with a thick foil cover. Then theres cheaper asphalt based types but they have poor heat tolerance and stink. Just havent found anything i like for the floor. Dynadeck looked good but is pretty thick. I just want like an adhesive carpet

Home Depot has stick-down carpet tiles for about a buck a square foot.

Some people never have anything except ideas. Go do it.
Emissions & fuel economy haven't exactly been areas of strength for past rotary power plants, but absolutely no one with a soul has ever cared.

Thats my lil buddy. Youngest of 4, the only one that still hangs out. I could probably drop him off at the front door of Homedepot and tell him to get a can of white paint and he would come back with it.

did the brake lines and fuel lines yesterday. I need to go pick up a new rear brake caliper, my bleeder was frozen and then became broken. Some people were wondering why i do all this work and then just spray paint it white. Well, it will always be a work in progress car.

Love my new fuel, the engine drinks E85 at 265lph at WOT, i think my old stock filter was a restriction
