Snow boots, OK. Snow shoes, it's parked

So I built me a locost sandblasting booth, from what material I had on hand 0$, using the hookah filter I built for the sand blast cabinet.
Have the body upside down on the body dolly. Spent about an hour in there, from the shop straight to the house and shower. Man I got sand stuck where the sun don't shine.
Really looking forward to spending hours in there Using 1/2 mask respirator, metal working goggles, and ear plugs.

I built a 6 x 12 x 6 high sandblast booth when I was restoring my MGA. I put it back in service some 20+ yrs later when restoring my Cushman. I used thin-wall conduit and cheap box-store poly tarps. I see you used Visqueen. What an idea! You don't need to work around a light source(s) inside the tent. I wish I would have thought of that.

Nice work there. And as for sand...….. yeah, it gets everywhere.

On a side note, I've been using a sand blast hood and a filtered respirator. My friend just gave me a small blower with 20 ft of pool cleaner hose to bring fresh air into my blasting hood. You might want to think about adding a fresh air source

Do you have a Part Number for the reamer?
I may go the same route with SN 95 Struts.

So contrary to rumours about lack of posting pics and movement on this build floating around, I'll put them to rest by answering the allegations.
1) Yes this is a hobby
2) No this is not a job
3) Yes I'm still working on this build
4) No I was not incarcerated

Now that that's put to rest, on with the build!
Removed body from sandblasting tent, took tent down. Hand sanded where it needed. Applied some self etching primer. Set body on frame (again for the umpteenth time).
Fabbed up front body/frame mounts.

Fabbed up rear body/frame mounts. Used the shrinker/stretcher to shape them. Tweeked and fit them. Plug welded to inner fender well. Once body is off (again for the umpteenth time) I will fab the back bracing for these mounts.
Or you could call them br@cketz if you dare.



Next I'll be looking and scratching/thinking about the floor.

Started fabbing up the floor panels. Some pictures. Still lots to do on the floor panels but it's getting there. First time in many many years that this car has seen a floor.

For some reason, that door opening makes the car look big now. I know that 'taint so.

Believe me Lonnie, it's not. I took a chair and sat beside the car door opening and wondered how I'm going to fit in it. Good thing it's got a canvas roof, my head may be sticking through it whilst driving . Italians must have been a bit smaller than me back in the 50's. I've moved the steering column back and will be moving the seat back to allow more room for 'entrance and egress'. There will be no back seat in this car.

Italians have had a different approach due to costs of vehicles and gasoline.

When camping with my family in Italy in 1956, I saw a family of 6 (dad, mom, 2 girls, 2 boys) loaded up on a motorcycle with a sidecar. Mom and the 2 girls were in the sidecar. Dad and the two boys were on the bike. All the camping gear was strapped everywhere there was a bare spot. It blew us away.

The 4 of us were in a 3-tone, 1956 Buick Century that looked like a limousine to the Italians. I think our trunk was bigger than the inside of most Italian cars of the time. True story.

Yesterday here in SoCal I was going to go for a run, but it was 95 degrees, so I decided to postpone the run until today, when it will 'cool down' to 85

As a native Californian, I have no clue how you guys cope with snow on a day-in, day-out basis.. If it even drizzles here, we immediately crash our cars into each other
