A lot of t buckets use front panhard bars. The theory is with a cross spring and the
Axle able to swing left and right if the steering box is mounted up front and the rod going to the right spindle you would get bump steer. I had no panhard bar and never noticed a problem. I think the vertical travel in the front is so small it makes no difference.

TRX was talking about OTR or over the road big commercial trucks. Some have beam axles but when they do, usually parallel leafs (like a typical pickup rear axle) and would not need a panhard. I could not find any examples like he described. If I knew a brand, model or type, maybe I could see what he is talking about. They usually call the long tie rod the "track bar" but he was referring to short bars.

Are you going to spring the front or leave it rigid?

My car has a torsion bar used on funny cars. I’m trying to run without shocks (for simplicity).

Is this car going to street legal? I would check with your state DMV first, before going down that road without shocks? If it race only, some of the drag racers use friction type dampers.

The ends of the bars could be tightened down to work like a friction shock. Don’t know how effective they will be!
