Airplane fuselage motorhome
I can have a stripped Embraer 120 from work for free if I want it.
The fuselage is a couple inches shy of 8 feet diameter .
I’m thinking of getting an old school bus and take all the yellow parts off and install the fuselage over the bus frame.

Sounds like a cool project! Back in the 70s I was living in West Los Angeles, and there was a guy that I saw occasionally driving a DC-3 on a bus chassis.

For a long time I had a similar idea.
Even knew where there was a plane less wings just sitting around at our local airport.
When I asked about it I was told the SWAT team used it for practice.
A month later the county PAID to take it the dump!
Paying to get rid of that much ALUMINUM.
Only Gov. Org. can be that stupid.

I would look for a motor home chassis rather than a school bus as I think the school bus will have poor gearing for travel and a lot of miles.

About 10 years ago I saw a fuselage turned into what looked like a houseboat. It was in the Fort Lauderdale area, spotted it as I was driving across a bridge so didn't get a good look at it but the impression it left was "Neat!!". Don't know what type of aircraft it was originally, some type of older large sized passenger prop plane? Anyway, go for it...put the Embraer on the road!

Someone in our area did that many years ago, using a fairly large fuselage placed on top of a bus chassis. The front looked great; the sides, meh (because of the exposed bus chassis); the rear wasn't terminated well and look rather chopped off.

This one is awesome because it sits low (but likely suffers when entering pitched driveways... I wonder if it runs airbags):

Yes, probably needs to be "Channeled" over the frame to look decent.
Not sure how much you will be able to drop it without losing head-room?
Needs a monster landing/driveing light in the nose to clean it up.

EDIT 2: I kind of like the bottome one, it has a nice military surplus - Mad Max - Hold Muh Beer..., lets DRIVE this!, patina to it.
