It went north?? I think around Michigan.
I never really loved it either :? It was a weird idea that just kept growing and growing till I had so much time (and money) in it I couldn't stop! but I learned alot of useful things along the way, so I'm cool about it, and I'll learn alot on this one, and one day I'll get it right! .......or not?!

Then you were right to push it on - I have had them like that and persevered too long rather than just scrapping and starting from scracth again but incorporating the good bits still.

I gotta admit I was taken aback (in a good way) of your first drawings for this one and I hope the real thing maintains the same impact (we both know things don't always translate) - for my pleasure of course, not yours!

yeah, it was one of those "Wish I would have..." or "If I could do it all over I would..." So it got to the point of do I continue to spend money and time? strip it down and use the parts? or just sell it? so I threw it on e-bay.

Are we allowed to know how much it fetched, the bidding must have been public after all?

It was a weird auction, I somehow listed it so that the "buy it now" feature went away after the bidding went above my reserve?
I started getting e-mails and phone calls with the old "what would it take" question and while I would rather not say the final price, (never kiss and tell) I can tell you it was on a trailer headed north within 48hrs of the listing :D the auction never ran to the end.....

Love your build. You are using many of the same parts I plan on using. Like the front Wilwood spindle, hub and brake combo. Are you using the Forged Dynalite Front Drag Brake Kit? I look forward to updates to your project.

Thank you!
Yes, Its the medium kit (up to 2800lbs) BUT it wasn't with out a surprize or two.
I ordered the Mustang II kit and the Must II pro spindle set, when It got here I found that the VERY pretty billet caliper hanger doesn't fit their own pro spindle  I looked around and found the right hanger to be hard to find and expensive, So I had to make my own bracket.....Just a heads up. I could have ordered the wrong part number? or got old stock? who knows?
The hanger was drilled for many different spindles so many in fact it couldn't be re-drilled for the pro.
But is sure is light!!!!!

May I ask why you ditched your old trike in favor of this one?

I would love to give you a cool philosophical answer like:
You know how a guy can sit back and invision how cool a car project is gonna be, Even if it's a rusted POS and your wife says your nutz! you see it! Well The closer that one got to being finished the further away it got from that vision.
BUT the truth is I ran out of money to finish it. selling it paid off some bills that sprung up and gave me a start on this one.

Or just an illusion?

No, the red flex tubes are Stainless steel (powder coated red) made by the Mr. Gasket Company and have adapters for different tube sizes.
Unless you talking about the strait pieces? they are swimming pool net handles...aluminum.

Getting closer on the front end :D
I went with TSW's track stars, there pretty light.
next is the sway bar work, I was going to tie into the bellcranks but I'm just not sure how much stress they can take?

Nice wheels mate

I didn't like your 'single end only' supported quadrant (bellcrank) before but now you mention you want to run the loads of the anti roll bar as well then my verdict is no.

Little to no air will flow through the existing radiator setup if it has a traditional core. The air must change direction to flow through the tilted radiator core. Your going to need good baffling to force it through. There will be added drag from redirecting the airflow.

FYI, the older corvettes had radiators tilted to a significant degree but they also had special cores that were arranged to match the tilt (i.e., you can see straight through them when tilted to 45 degrees or so).

A few degrees are okay but the greater the angle to the airflow, the greater the flow reduction.

The pool pole was a great idea.
