The plan (and I use that term loosely!) is to use the side pods to house the oil coolers, plumbing, fuel pump, etc... The side pods will have a smaller opening and they exit behind the motor.
I do plan on a roof duct of some type like the drawing to ram air, but I'm still trying to work out how to build it.
As for aero, I gave up on that a while back  I'm hoping that this thing is so small maybe the wind won't notice me....

Pook,
I think (my vote) is for the current verison of the "body work". It looks fantastic the way the frame tubes are still exposed, but only about half of them.

Pook,

I like the styling and the foam fab work looks great. Keep us posted through the rest of the process.

Damn.. I have got to stop reading random build logs... Giving me WAY too many ideas for the "nextprojectitis" disease I have!!

Pook... That is an AWESOME looking machine and looking forward to seeing the build wrap up now! Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Thanks for the ideas!

Pook, I think your new bodywork looks great. Much less fussy than the multiple inset panels.

Function>form always wins.

Pain in the ars to glue... PooK

PooK,

You mention not knowing about the Foam Safe CA... I can tell you from direct experience.. YOU WANT IT!

Hit up your local hobby store and get some of the thickest they have and also get some "kicker". The thick stuff will fill gaps and join "imperfect" edges and the kicker makes it harden in a second.. so basically it's squeeze glue.. hit with kicker.. move on.. takes about 3 seconds when you get the groove down. When laying up wing foam for 9 ft span thermal gliders it's invaluable!!

Hope this helps!

Ken

p.s. they also make a debonder, so if you don't like it and want to change it.. you can dab a bit of this on it and it gels and breaks free.. works best on thin stuff.. if the glue penetrated.. your pretty much SOL for ever separating them!

With "cars", it is very difficult to come up with any feature that is truely unique....building an entire car that is truely unique is way beyond impossible. ....people have been thinking about crazy car [PooPoo] for over 125 years now!!!

Build it the way you think it needs to be.
