OK

A week after braking my hand I started again to work on the car today.

I have to say it was kind of slow but I did mock up and tack weld the front bumper.

I did not like the look of the ATV bumper with its open ends.
So I decided to cut and weld new ends to it so its now a closed design.

Ok it is gonna be clearer with pictures:

After finishing both side I put the lights back on.

I am started to really like the cartoon look with the oversized KC covers...

This is a sneak peek of what I am working on for the suspension.
The look of the buggy is definitely off road but I will use it 99.9% on paved street.
That is why I decided to go with road race shocks:

Left is the EO strut and right is the same cut and sand blasted almost ready for the Koni insert.

great build. been following it. i love it. its crazy and perfect. i ddnt think to offer but i have aset of fully adjustable coilovers for a 90 awd dsm. i believe fit 90-94. i have a spare tranny and transfer case with the center lsd diff if you need/ want extras. used motor for a traditional 7 with supra running gear so most of the car is there but motor.

again great build. keep it up

Thanks,
Yes, I would be interested in the transmission and transfer case (budget permitting).
I would also gladly help if you need some stuff for your build.
I have a lot of parts laying around.
Let me know...

i need to tell you the tranny has the typically 2nd syncro crunch so you have to double clutch it(i think thats the term) but is drivable if had to be and good for a rebuild. t-case is good though. both are original from a 1990 with 117000 miles.
i'm not sure what shipping would be. i'm in oh at 44076. pm an offer. i'm not sure how much they are going for but i dont imagine much.
and i dont know of anything i need currently. i'm only using the 4g motor from the talon. the ecu and iac has been rebuilt. have new lifters and clutch parts.
maybe a spare 14b or 16g turbo if you have one. i saw you seem to have upgrade to larger.

i just got a layoff notice so i'll check with you before i start ebaying and craigslisting parts off.

Ok I have been off for two weeks but I come back with a lot of pictures.

I am not gonna tell you what it is just yet.

Image

First taking some measurements.

Image

Then I took this cut off bumper tube.

Image
Put it on the tube notcher.
Image

Nice fish-mouth.

Image

Spot welded.
Any idea?

Image
Now I took some tubes bolt and a caster wheel.

Image

Start welding.

Image

1/2 " square ratchet adapter.

Image

Almost finished.

Image

Here you go: spare tire holder.

And...

Image

Lug nut wrench.

Until I saw the "Y" piece, I thought it was going to be a camera mount.
Clever!

Sorry for the lack of updates.
The last couple of month I focused on getting the car started again.
That means redo the fuel system, coolant lines to the back, and water to air intercooler system.

Image
Bosh 044 fuel pump, big filters and AN8 braided lines.

Image
The mounting straps for the 12 gallons aluminum fuel tank and the fuel pump wiring underneath the tank. (notice the cooling Jug for the beer)

Image
I actually use the cooler as an ice chest for the water to air intercooler.

Image
I also received my new turbo: Forced performance DSM 82 HTA.
Should be good for around 700hp.

Image
With this I ordered this beautifully crafted JMF drag manifold.
This thing is a beast.

Image
The engine bay coming along.
Notice the waste gate dump BOSOZOOKU STYLE

Image
Image
The office.

My friend Tango also started the fab of the aluminum sides.
Image
His fab table.
Image
Complex shapes.
Image
The front half in place.
Image
The complete side pods.

That is all for now.

Looking awesome so far!

Looks like you either need some spring tenders or a limiting strap, that front spring looks a little loose.
