Know what you need to do? You need to get into the Locost business! That's where the money is. BWAAA-HA-ha-haaaa.

I'm glad it'll leave you enough time to keep checking in, Pook; we sure can use your wisdom, experience, and commentary here.

pook, for four years I have drooled over your builds. You are indeed a savant when it comes to building a beautiful car.
sad to hear you are giving up but at the same time I know how much fun it is to work on 911's. (it isnt, i have shed much blood and lost too many nails redoing suspension and motor on an 1983 sc... )

I may steal some ideas from your trike build in the future.

PooK...OUT!

It's a hard slog that's for sure but I always said your product was too good and too cheap, you're just too nice a guy Pook.

I would hold onto them until the V8 gets about, I think it will make some noise and not just the exhaust.

pook, would you be willing to share your suspension pick-up points with us? maybe a dimensional drawing of just the front and just the back mounting points?

Pook,

Are you still around? I apologize if I missed these in the build thread...

I had a few questions... What wheel/tire size range did you use on the cars?

What steering rack did you use?

Did any of the cars produced go to Texas and get successfully registered?

Thanks for the inspiration, I have renewed motivation in tearing down my donor car :)

In the first pic on one of the tires it says 225/45/17. This was one of the examples that I was thinking of but I've also seen them on traditional builds

Mine (the TR-82 EXO described in this forum) has 255/45R-17's on the back and 235/40R-17's on the front. Marty's are wider at 275 and 245, respectively.

The modified steering rack is from a Porsche 911.

I believe Pook made 8 mako exo frames, and these were distributed to FL, TN, GA, MN, CA, TX, and NY. Not sure where the 8th wound up. Not sure how many have been registered....

Thanks! I hope some day those 8 cars are worth a lot of money. I really enjoyed this thread.

They made 17 or so Vector W8's, and those are worth a LOT of money. By my math, 8 cars is less than 17, so the Makos should be worth approximately 2x what a vector is... any day now :)
