It's funny that I just read that page of info less than a week ago. I have to go get some of those 12mm across the flats nuts for sure. The 13MM sockets don't like the space that they have to work with. The exhaust guy said getting an attachment to the stub pipes would be easy, but turning up to our mounted mufflers will be difficult. I was thinking it was just the opposite, but I'm no exhaust fabricator, so I will just see what he does I guess.

Back on the "S" checking axle alignments...so far so good but we will have to switch to inboard suspension.
BTW I'm thinking we should leave the output, call it a PTO and have the worlds fastest lawnmower?

I was hoping that was going to be the answer too, very cool (pun intended!).

With some turf tires and the PTO you could make one fast finish mower with that car.

Ground effects car...seems obvious to me!

Here is the headers installed. The total cost of the exhaust system was around $550 ($450 for the custom headers, and about $100 for the dual silencers)...
I love the look of this setup. The collector is not ideal, but there is only about a 20% overlap of the exhaust pulses by my best guess.

The windshield came back from the glass shop today. It uses some molding specifically made to conform to a round tube frame. I think it looks nice.

Considering what I have seen with other round tube windshield designs, I think it looks awesome. If you are looking with your nose 8" from the corner you can see a less than perfect seam. If you look from 5 feet (like the top picture) it looks great! I searched this site for an improved product, but could not find any. Most everyone has exposed fasteners around the edge and a basically unfinished look. Maybe you could point me to the better examples of curved round tube frame designs that are finished. Thanks in advance!

We use two mounts per fender. One of them goes onto a 1.25" square tab that replaces the washer behind one of the caliper bolts, the other attaches to a 1.25"x3" or so tab that is held with two 3/8" x 1" bolts IIRC. There is a built in space on the Solstice hubs that is used to hold a little tool used during an alignment. We tapped the holes to accept the bolts we used. I will try to get a pic of them a little later. We use the same bent 3/8" rod for all four corners, it just mounts to the tabs differently, and the front bar that mounts to the larger tab has a bend in the perpendicular axis to avoid interference with the steering rod. The rods start as 27" pieces for the long ones, and 21" for the short ones IIRC. It is a pretty simple system, and one you could probably do on just about any aluminum upright that you could drill and tap.
