Wow! You got your clones to work!

Mine just sit around, drink beer, and make unhelpful comments...

That's a great looking crew. You should make five identical cars.

WOW, I've been looking at this team several times. I just noticed clone #6 under the right front.

This car should be 6x faster than other locosts.

Clever! Not sure how it''s done but either Rx7 has his tongue well planted in his cheek and / or I'm completely dense but....... That's the same guy x 6!!!....or a remarkable bunch of very close brothers!? Funny stuff! We are building an ancient design of a car that is somehow still relevant the world over, that was developed before computers were even invented and now we are being treated / spoofed by technology so powerful in a small box on a desk anywhere in a different country that it would have filled a warehouse at its inception!! Go figure! Crazy world we live in!! HMMMMMMMM.. Maybe next up is we go to your favorite recycling shop, by a lump of metal (a previous car, minus the air), and a can of Nanos. Drop the lump in the middle of your garage, pour the Nanos over the lump and in the morning you have a car!?!? I wonder if the Nanos will come in colors? ;-)

I like the outfits. I am very familiar with BMW drivetrains. You might want to remove the Guibo and machine an adapter to bolt the u-joint right to the trans output. Looking at the driveshaft setup you may have some problems.

Enjoying the build. Working on one based on a '92 318is. What are you using for the steering rack and column? I'm planning on using both out of the BMW but struggling with finding cheap parts to make up the extra length difference.

Love the build the M50 is a fantastic motor. Very smooth.

Subscribed to see the final results. I've been dreaming of a build of my own for a few years now. My E30 was just wrecked by a lady so I unfortunately have a strong donor with a recently refinished motor.

Hell, it's entirely likely your computer in multiple times more powerful than the combined computing power for the entire production run of Lotus Sevens.

So True! I worked for an electronic salvage company in the 60's that bouught the Beal Air Force base radar installation when they transitioned form vacum tubes to transistors..... The system filled a 15,000 sq ft. warehouse. Four of us spent the summer dismantilig it for raw materials and resaleable items to be sold in surplus stores in the San Francisco region... Fun summer job for college students!! My guess today, the same capability would fit in a lap top!!.....ok, maybe a PC!?

Very nice looking front inboard set up.

I've always liked a greater than 1:1 ratio because it gives a little better fine tuning range on your shocks and actually more shock action (more movement on the shock than on the suspension). BUT it's really hard to package with a vertical shock. Seeing yours made me wonder if your shocks wouldn't bottom out.
