Thanks Tom, I am planning to weld the SB4 tubes along the vertical plate and ~1" along the horizontal. i hope that will tie it in well. the top of the vertical plate will not be tied into the top rail to allow for fuel, brakes and electrical to pass through from the tunnel.

It will be welded to the top tube and the side tubes. I tried to triangulate the plate with 4 pieces along the back side too. I think the majority of the torque will be handled by the rear mount (explorer diff cover). This is the theory i am operating under :)
