Hello all,
I used to be active here, under a different name, but I didn't fit in.
Fabricating the space frame isn't beyond my skills, but it isn't what I wanted, then or now.
So to all those who think similarly, if any there so be, let me tell you about something I used to reject.
A fake 1923 Ford Model T, commonly known as a 23 t, t- bucket, etc.
The frame couldn't be much simpler, nor cheaper, nor easier. THe body tub can still be had new for $399 plus shipping.
From there, the aftermarket support is better, the freedom of design is at least as good if not better, and if you're willing to spend a few hundred extra for better looks and more interior room, you can step up to a '27.
I'm working on grafting my Opel IFS to that, you can see more on the tbucketeers forum.
And with that, I'm done here. Peace out.
