Hi all,

after 15 or so years since my last build I'm getting the itch to do another one. This time though i'd like to hash a lot of it out digitally first before committing to a physical build.

I've tried my own hand at designing a frame, and it gets real messy around the front.

Does anyone have a CAD model of a frame they've used that they could share for me to piggy back off?

McSorley has 3D models for them too. I can't remember which format they're in, but Solidworks can read them.

Also, you haven't really mentioned which frame you want to start with. Champion version? Haynes Roadster?

There are some good, free models of various versions of the Haynes Roadster out there including some specifically reworked for Miata running gear. Try checking GrabCAD.com too. It's good to go with a source where their chassis has actually been built, and you know the accuracy of the model is good.
