Im not really sure where to put this, but im curious about the final/wet weights of some of the cars here (or at least an idea)

So, to those with non-book frames, how is your frame/car different and what is the weight difference?

So I'm learning that a GT-S based car will weight 1270ish lbs :D

Very interesting thread, I hope more people respond. Specifically some of the BEC guys and some of the V-8 guys.

Daniel

The UK site seems to be a lot more public about weighing. Or maybe they just have a lot more completed cars. Anyway, you'd probably get a ton more data talking to them. Although they do have a lot of people doing kits there, if that matters to you at all.

Be sure and link back here, so I can look at their weights too. :)

Lotus XI frame, full body and Climax FWP, 1080lb wet.

I really should put the Seven on a scale and find out its weight.

Good job!

This is a good thread, it's pretty concise...

I drove mine around to the local stone supplier and put it on their scales. With street tires and mags with 7 gallons of gas on board 1320 lbs. With slicks and racing wheels 1272 lbs. Leitch Super Sprint with GTS trans and rear and 20 valve. I could get another 80lbs out of it quite easy and get into the 1100 area but it wouldn't be street legal.

Yep, Less than 50 miles on it at the time. The long blat the second day had me nervous for sure...but it survived! I autocrossed it in the fall. It needs stiffer springing and better tires. As many have said before....these cars are never really finished!
