Hey Bob,

IMHO this is a great engine! I was planning on a 16V 4AGE. Took a drive a Locost with a 16V from a donor that had over 150K miles on it. It was OK but not the greatest. Then went driving with Graham Earley in his 20V powered Leitch 7 and was an instant convert.

I'm using a Mega Squirt II and Ford EDIS ignition.

If I had it to do over I would probably opt for an AE111. A tad more power and a little newer.

My Duxbury Hodgepodge uses that engine with MegaSquirt. It flies! Only real installation pain is the rear coolant pipe positions. Locost way to deal with it is long coolant tubes running along the engine. There are kits to relocate the outlet/inlet, spendy though. If you decide to use the stock ECU, make sure you get one for a manual transmission. I would also suggest a light flywheel for a Seven type vehicle.
