But why a powerglide? Seems like bolting an apple to an orange.

Might have been the wrong vid I posted. He does one with a T5 also. Power glide I think would be too heavy and wouldn't be fun even converting to paddle shift.

Drag racers still love the Powerglide. Cheap, plentiful and very robust. I have a Miata trans behind a K24.

What did you use to mate it to the K20?

I think you could buy the adapter plate and create you own flywheel solution. It turns out his inlet setup is all wrong for our cars, you would be better off using the stock manifold and building a cold air setup in front on the scuttle on the passenger side. It a lot of power for a stock motor I am getting 208 rwbhp, with a good airbox 230 is expected. I had it at a track day yesterday, beat on it all day, it's an amazing motor.

you need some manner of flywheel adapter for the miata clutch, and the bellhousing adapter to bolt the tranny unto the honda block.the rest of the kit doesn't really apply for a typical locost, as engine mounts and the sort aren't really usefull since you are fabricating the entire car anyway.

I'm not certain if you need the modified sump, maybe if you are using a miata front subframe.
