That's quite a find! It appears to be from a Europa Twin-Cam, and yet it doesn't quite look right. Is that pulley on the back of the head a driver or an idler?

What concerns me is that notched cam cover for the distributor. Is this truly a twin cam engine, or does it have a dummy twin cam valve cover?

It's a Renault engine from a Europa with a "Lotus" valve cover on it, possibly a "Gordini" head?

OK, Gordini head! That says a lot! Kinda familiar with Loti, not so much with hot rod Renaults! Still a very interesting engine. Thanks, Skinny!

I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't molest that engine. If I were you I'd sell it as it is and then use the money to buy the fancy, expensive bits designed specifically for my Toyota engine.

My $0.05 worth.
