Most of you know the "transmission" I bought at the Skip Barber auction was an empty case.
So here's the first f a series of questions.
Does anyone know if a FT layshaft will fit an FTR / JFR case? If so I may be able to piece together at least first and second gears for autocross use.

Otherwise it looks like I should put it on ebay and pray someone bites.

All I know is that any working Hewland now sells for more than I got for my entire Huffaker Alfa-Genie! :BH:
Including the Hewland and spare gear-sets. :BH: :BH: :BH:

I've found an FT200 layshaft for a reasonable price. I'm tempted to buy it and just see if it will fit.
Most of our autocross courses we never come out of second gear, so I could build this onto a single speed gearbox and maybe find more pieces over time.

If I give up on the Hewland, the chassis will most likely get converted to 1000 cc bike power.

The FT200 layshaft will not work in an FTR. The FT200 is a 4-spd and the layshaft is one piece. The FTR is either 5 or 6-spd and the layshaft is 2 piece and much longer.
