Looking for the total lenght of a C5 diff with 4L60E trans and a bell for a LS motor ?
Think its under 48" from the center of the axles ? ?

How accurate are you looking to get? The bare block itself is only about 21" long so it's well under 48" from face of bell to axle-line.

Don't make it a nightmare to work on. Leave room for mechanic sized hands.
If the picture is not accurate enough to scale when you know the engine dims, it's probably too tight.

I put this in your other post on my build thread, but here is what I measured when I was first putting it all together:

The overall length of the engine/tranaxle package is about 54". That is without any accessories on the front. The distance to the axle centerline is about 47".

The C6 length will depend on which transmission. I believe the 2005 may have a different unit, but later C6s use a 6 speed auto. The C5 is a four speed. I expect the 6 speed is longer by a couple inches.

Just found that it is 1 3/8" longer.
