These projects have to go. Splitting up the parts will be a last resort. I would like to sell each car with its parts. Open to offers.

It was a local purchase. The chassis is in Winnipeg Manitoba and I'm putting a Fiat 124 drivetrain into it. I'm very pleased with the chassis, dimensions are accurate and consistent and fabrication is top quality. I've, obviously, seen the V8 powered car and it is of the same quality....buy with confidence!

Hi Chris,

Nice to know that there's another in Winnipeg. There is actually another being built in Winnipeg too. I work with a guy named Tim who told me a couple of days ago that he had his frame all cut and tack welded and was now in process of fully welding it. Sometime in January or February we'll all have to get together and do a garage-crawl and compare projects. I live in Rivergrove (Old Kildonan area) but the Locost is in my hanger at St Andrews airport. My side of the garage at home has my 1959 Fiat Abarth 850 in it.

The weather is supposed to be reasonable tomorrow so I'm headed out to the farm where my donor car is. I've had it for about 3 years. Bought clam shells for my car 4 years ago when I saw them on eBay. I've always wanted a Seven after driving a friend's several times in the late seventies....its the yellow Series 2 that is in the city....but after reading about Locosts it seemed the way to go. This way I can have a Seven-type car but with an Italian engine and drivetrain. I hope to tear it apart right after Xmas and then really get some work done on the car in the new year.

Hope to meet you soon.

Bill

hey bill ,20 odd years ago i started a build using my fiat 125 as a donor and unfortunately had to sell it as a half built car..the guy that got it off me had a mechanic shop and i watched it go together,it ran like a champ ,the engine was perfect ,free revving ,a little tall but they have a unique exaust tone ,raspy is the best way to describe it.I love your little fiat ..when i was a kid my teacher had a baby blue 500 that i remember being like new ..1970's ,they are quite collectable now .

Hi Bill! Yes definatly have to get together soon. I have also been in contact with a gentleman by the name of Jann who is in the early stages of a build, throught the WSCC forum. So that makes four. I Live in NK and work in Selkirk, so Old K / St Andrews is close. You are fortunate to have driven one. I, sadley have yet to even see one in the flesh (gotta get out more). I'll PM as well.

8cylender7- Sorry 'bout the thread theft, but at least it gets bumped.
