I know it's a shot in the dark, but I am looking for a cheap set of aluminum or steel wheels for autocrossing my Locost. I need them in an offset of no more than 4.5" negative. Thanks Rich 313-377-9542

Rich-
I have a spare set of stock steel rims from a Triumph GT6. Switched to mini-lites. I see you are in the 313...I'm in 734 Belleville area. I know they are 13's, but only 5.5-ish wide. Let me know if interested. Have street tires mounted with good rubber. Also have the hub caps and trim rings for these.

Hey Rich-

This will likely be of little help, but a few years ago I too was looking for a set of wide, cheap 13's w/ 4x100... I eventually gave up as I just couldn't seem to source them on the cheap, so I found some steel 13x5.5 Passat wrecking yard wheels and hooped them out to my needed width (7" wide in my case)..

Not ideal, but in the end it worked and got me where I needed to be.. One caveat, they were heavy when done..

Good luck-

I have an extensive collection of “old school” 13x7, 13x8 & 13x9 aluminum slots. I’d be willing to sell a set, but hey are mostly 4 on 4-1/2” from older Datsun, MG and Toyota’s. They would need to be redrilled, but I can see exactly what I have and measure backspacing.

I’m located in northeast PA

I think Diamond racing wheels is your best bet. http://www.diamondracingwheels.com/ They are probably the cheapest custom wheels available. You can get exactly what you want for about $100/wheel.

I bought custom steel stock car wheels for my Locost, they worked good for me. I don't think the guys I got mine from are in business anymore though, but it was Marsh Racing that I used. I'm sure there are other similar places though.
