"Rare", so valuable?
They always annoyed me in a similar manner to Tesla, pretending to know what's good for us better than we do.
Very short production life at about a year.
But maybe someone's dream car?

Not mine and no relation to seller, just amusing to see one selling so cheap now.

They looked more like a cheap fiberglass kit car than a real, cheap fiberglass kit car did...

Cannot argue with that!
If I were not trying so very hard to make real progress on the projects I already have I would turn this Brick-lin into a Super Vehicle -1 "Sleeper".
351 Cleveland has potential, strip out the dead weight, make light 'glass bumpers, upgrade the suspension, etc.
But with something like eight current builds in progress or waiting their turn and almost no time to do them this Brick has to go to someone else!

"... this Brick has to go to someone else!"

So That's what the brick in Bricklin stands for?

Memorable bits from Wikipedia:
Quote:
In 1975 development began on a more exclusive model to be called the "Chairman". While mechanically similar to the existing car, Chairman cars were to have a larger engine than the stock SV-1.[38] Visually they would be distinguished by black interior and a black body with gold stripes, gold coloured wheels and trim, and a gold-plated toolkit. The buyer was to be flown to the assembly plant to watch their car being built and receive a gold jumpsuit along with the car on delivery.

Quote:
Among the factors blamed for the car's ultimate demise were ongoing quality control problems, nepotism, supplier shortages, worker absenteeism and a series of price increases that more than doubled the price of the car in two years.

Ugh... but you did get a gold jumpsuit...

Squarish styling and very lack-luster performance, little popular appeal or value even as a "Classic" = BRICK!

I did like the styling back in the day. Today it reminds me of a Bradley GTII kit car. Or is it the other way around?

While it may or may not be priced right for what it is, due to my state's licensing process, I would never purchase another motor vehicle without a title.
