Hello, I am a lurker that finally made a thread for myself, basically I was wondering if anyone could price for me how much they would charge to weld a book frame with one modification for me provided I pay for the raw materials.

You might want to check with Jack at Kinetic Vehicles. He does provide that kind of service. He sources the materials, so you don't even have to buy them yourself.

Here's his website page for same ==> http://www.kineticvehicles.com/locost.html

Cheers,

"East Coast" = expensive shipping from West coast.
Hired welder? $15.00 - $60.00 Hr.
How many hours?
Might want to negotiate a fixed price, back east.

x2. I might actually have a good book frame for sale next week, mostly finished.

Either way you're looking at a few thousand after labor more than likely from most.

We had a member here some years back (8?) that tried to offer built frames. I think he was asking around $2k. That would be ~2300 in today's dollars if my memory is correct. He had minimal interest as I recall.
