EDIT: It's free if I keep the wheels.
Well, it's finally time to pass my project on to a new owner who will finish it up. It's been a great journey, but my priorities have moved on since I started it, and I just know that I won't end up finishing it at this point. I'd love to see someone take it over and make it into their own - it is a great base for someone who wants to build a Locost but is intimidated by the frame build.
The frame is of my own measurements and design, and is complete. The drivetrain is done, using an '84 300ZX transmission and shortened and rebuilt driveshaft, with the rear subframe from a MKIII Supra. The front suspension is identical to the Supra geometry, with completed steering. As far as the engine goes, the '88 Legend C27A has an adapter plate to the transmission, but if I were to continue the project I would simply find an longitudinal single-cam Nissan VG which will bolt to the transmission and get the car running quickly.
I am not looking to make any money on this, and am only putting in an asking price to prevent someone taking the car, pulling off the expensive bits and scraping the rest. The Enkei wheels are 18x10, there's a complete Tilton pedal setup, and much more. Extras like the MegaSquirt III and other parts can be negotiated on. I took hundreds of photos throughout the project, so it is well documented.
The car is located in Victoria BC, and I'll be more than happy to answer any questions about it!
Thanks!
