So some of you guys here on Locost USA might be interested in this. I built a Corvette Z06 exo style car with a Jeep body. It will be up for auction on bring a trailer in about a week.

This is a 2001 Z06 with 95k miles with the body removed and a Jeep CJ body and hood put in it's place. The car weighs 2450 so about 700lbs lighter than stock. Has a rollcage legal for most track events and could be road racing legal with the addition of 3 bars. The car has an headers, intake, exhaust, and tune. C6 Z06 brakes along with coilover conversion with bilstein monotubes custom valved for the lower weight.

Compared to other exoskeleton cars (lotus 7, exocet, Ar-i-el At-om) this is more reliable and easier to repair as all the suspension and running gear are just Z06 parts. And it has WORKING ABS!

I would predict it will sell for $5000-10,000 but it's a no reserve auction so who knows. I'll post the link when it goes live.

Oh and because I know you guys will want to know.
It is 2450lbs with 52/48 weight distribution. I could definitely get it under 2300 with a fiberglass or aluminum body (they come up for sale used cheap on occasion), lexan hood, lightweight battery, lighter exhaust/brakes.

Cool build Davidss

I sold one of my projects on BAT a few years back and had a good experience- I love BAT.. Do get ready though, as some in the peanut gallery know all, and 'would have done such and such differently'... You just have to expect a bit of that as you go in.. the reality is most guys there will probably think this is very cool.. (I hope the guy they cut out of that Corvette was ok  )

I hope it sells well for you-- the no reserve should help you get a good price (you're braver than I am  )

Cool build- GLWTA

Is that street legal? In one of your build pictures, I see a license plate mounted.
